PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: September 4, 2026
Last Updated: September 7, 2026
Modern Alpha Project is operated by Ryan Rosengren. In this Privacy Policy, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Modern Alpha Project. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit our websites, register for a webinar or masterclass, submit a form, use our services or communicate with us.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Contact information: Your name, email address and telephone number.
Registration and service information: Form responses, webinar registrations, registration status, webinar identifiers, personalized access and replay links, and information needed to provide services you request.
Communications and preferences: Messages you send us, support requests, communication preferences, and records of consent or withdrawal of consent, including the date and method where recorded.
Technical and usage information: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring website and cookie information.
Webinar and communication activity: Attendance, replay activity, message delivery and interactions with our communications, where those activities are recorded by the platforms we use and made available to us.
We collect information directly from you and through the platforms that provide our website, registration, webinar and communication services. We limit collection to information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use personal information to:
Process webinar and masterclass registrations and provide requested services.
Send confirmations, reminders, schedule updates, access links and replay links through the communication channels you have authorized, where consent is required.
Respond to questions and provide customer support.
Send promotional communications when you have separately consented to receive them.
Understand participation and improve our website, communications and services.
Maintain security, prevent misuse and troubleshoot technical problems.
Record and respect communication preferences, consent and opt-out requests.
Meet applicable legal and record-keeping obligations.
We seek consent where required. If we propose a new use that requires additional consent, we will explain that use and obtain the necessary consent before proceeding.
SMS CONSENT AND MESSAGING
SMS consent is optional. It is not a condition of purchasing a product or service, registering for a webinar or submitting a form. Providing a telephone number or accepting our Terms of Service does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive text messages.
You may separately choose to receive:
Non-marketing messages: Webinar registration confirmations, reminders, schedule updates, access links and replay links.
Marketing messages: Special offers, discounts and promotional service updates.
You may consent to either category, both categories or neither category. We send text messages only for the categories you have authorized. Non-marketing consent does not authorize promotional messages. Messages may be sent using automated technology.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
To cancel SMS messages, reply STOP to any text message from us. We will send one confirmation of your unsubscribe request, after which we will stop sending SMS messages unless you provide fresh consent. To rejoin, complete the opt-in process again; you may also need to reply START in the same text conversation to restore delivery.
Reply HELP for assistance, or email [email protected].
Our SMS service is intended for individuals aged 18 or older.
MOBILE INFORMATION AND SMS CONSENT SHARING
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
SERVICE PROVIDERS AND LEGAL DISCLOSURES
We use service providers for website hosting, forms, webinar delivery, contact management, messaging, automation, analytics and customer support. They may process information only as needed to perform services for us, with appropriate privacy protections.
The restrictions on mobile information and SMS consent stated above also apply to these arrangements. Service-provider arrangements do not authorize sharing this information for independent marketing or promotional purposes.
We may disclose personal information when required by applicable law, a valid court order or another legally binding process.
PROCESSING OUTSIDE CANADA
Our service providers may store or process personal information outside Canada. Information processed in another country may be subject to that country's laws and lawful access by its courts, law enforcement or national security authorities.
We remain accountable for personal information processed on our behalf and require appropriate contractual or other protections. Contact us if you have questions about our service providers or international processing.
COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
Our website and service providers may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand usage and improve performance. Where consent is required for a particular technology or purpose, we obtain it before that use.
You may manage cookies through your browser settings and any preference controls available on our website. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality.
DATA RETENTION AND SECURITY
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy and meet applicable legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it no longer identifiable, subject to lawful retention requirements.
We may retain limited consent and opt-out records to demonstrate compliance and ensure we continue to respect your communication preferences.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No storage system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
YOUR CHOICES AND PRIVACY REQUESTS
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. You may stop SMS messages by replying STOP. Email and SMS preferences are managed separately.
You may contact us to request access to your personal information, information about its use and disclosure, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion where applicable. You may also withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice where permitted by law. Withdrawal may affect our ability to provide a service that requires the information, but declining marketing messages does not prevent you from using our services.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. We handle requests within applicable legal time limits and explain any lawful limits on the request.
PRIVACY QUESTIONS AND COMPLAINTS
Direct privacy questions, requests and complaints to Ryan Rosengren at [email protected], or use the contact details below. We will review and respond to privacy complaints and address any issues identified.
You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another privacy authority with jurisdiction over your concern.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy periodically and will post the revised version with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain new consent before making a material change to how we use personal information. Updating this policy does not automatically expand your SMS consent.
